About Me

My journey began after I matriculated and trained as a nurse at a training hospital and attended BG Alexander College of nursing. I later transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry working in sales. I enhanced my professional skills by completing a course in Marketing Management through Damelin and the Institute of Marketing Management.

In 1995 I was admitted as an attorney and immediately commenced private practice practicing in all areas of the law, later confining my practice to labour and employment law.

Whilst working for a pharmaceutical company,  I pursued my legal studies at the University of South Africa, (UNISA), where I obtained a BProc degree, followed by an LLB and then a LLM, Masters of Law degree. During my time at law school, I received awards for outstanding performance in Attorneys Ethics, Commercial Contracts and Trial Advocacy. I recruited a number of my colleagues to participate in a street law programme on a voluntary basis and on my own time representing those who could not afford an attorney. I later obtained a diploma in Human Rights from the University of Johannesburg.

I volunteered at UNISA’s legal department and worked under the guidance of one of UNISA’s professors in assisting members of the public with their legal matters.

Shortly thereafter, I did a course in mediation and arbitration through the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa and another one through Conflict Dynamics.

As a Tokiso panelist and a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) in the USA, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. I am also a founder member of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW).

In 2021 I completed a course in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 through the University of Cape Town.

Beyond my professional life, I have a keen interest in history and theology. I was also a former keen equestrian, where I competed for a few decades.

I am dedicated to my work and committed to providing exceptional legal services to my clients.
